Kavishri

A distinguished kavishar and master of poetic metre (chhandbandi) from Punjab, particularly the Malwa region. His 72-kalaa chhand “Maan De Makhni Khaniyo Ve” remains popular among the people even today.

He documented folk ballads, religious narratives, and the biographies of patriotic martyrs in Kavishari, and was honored with the “Shiromani Kavishar” award.

A renowned kavishar. During his lifetime, he composed between 65 and 70 compositions.

An eminent Kavishar from the Malwa region. His renowned works include Aqal Da Bagh and Ganna De Baint.
